Initiatives

  • 2020 Republishing low cost iconic children stories with Limited Edition for the use of Iraqi children only in cooperation with OUKA Center.
  • 2019 The first and second OUKA Children's Drawing Competition, on Facebook, (20)day in which (240)children from (16)countries painted (864)paintings. The link of the drawings which participated in the second OUKA competition :

  • 2017 A Founding member of the Chibayish Library For Kids, a community-based initiative for children in the marshes of Iraq through which a library of 1500 books, encyclopedias and other observatories was created with a personal effort. The community built a sumerian house (mudeef) for the library. Later on and because of the family supervising the library unfortunate circumstances, the library moved to a private school and some of the books went to Taqwa’s house who was the most involved child with the library.   • 2016 My book and reading - where children and their families read to each other; for a full year and the most important achievement was winning the award of the pregnant mother and unborn baby by(mother Fatima: Al Saeedi and the unborn baby Yusuf Ahmed Bin Said) from Morocco, and children from Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain.

Workshops of my preparation and presentation:

  • 2017 Designing and presenting a workshop to train Omani children's book illustrators. A book was published and distributed under the title "Strange Questions" in cooperation with the Children's Laboratory of Beit Zubair Foundation, Muscat.  
  • 2016 A workshop for specialists in the field of children's and adolescents' culture in Iraq.
  • 2015 Designing and presenting a workshop for children - Oman International Exhibition for Child’s Supplies and Books - Muscat.
  • 2005 Participated in the UNESCO workshop in cooperation with BIB in Bratislava, Slovakia.
  • 2004 Participated in the UNESCO workshop for authors, illustrators and publishers of Arab children's books - Lebanon.
